Last Monday lunchtime year 5/6 children got to grips with the art of flicking paint. I’m pleased to say that the paint was aimed at the paper, despite the temptation of ‘decorating’ fellow artists. The children used watered down gouache paints which worked really well as the colours were so vibrant.
I also found a website where you can create Jackson Pollock styled computer graphics http://www.manetas.com/pollock/
The mosaics are coming on nicely, but this project needs to finish now as the children are ready to move onto something different. I have decided that Lyn & I will grout them to speed up the process.
The clay sculptures were taken home this week, it was sad to see them go from the display in the library, but the young artists were so excited about showing them off to friends & family. I’m now looking forward to displaying the mosaic clocks.
